Stari Most (Old bridge) is a beautiful stone bridge in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, spanning the Neretva river. It is protected by two fortified towers known as the bridge keepers. Originally a wooden bridge, it was replaced in 1557 with a stone bridge by Suleiman the Magnificent. Stari Most is 13 feet wide, 100 feet long, and stands at a height of around 82 feet.
