Emperor Menilik II fought a major battle (Adwa battle) with the force of Italy which came against the sovereignty of the country. Ethiopia gained a decisive victory over Italy. This was a great shame for the Italians and for the Europeans as a whole. This is why different European countries still teach their children that Menilik was a white man. The victory is not only of Ethiopians. It is the symbol of the glory and source of pride for all blacks all over the world. It is the proudest moment of Africa. Despite this, there are many people who try to undermine the value of the Adwa victory. Tell them that they do so just because they are brainwashed by the stories in our history text books which are prepare by those who ‘are not among our people’. Hope you get what I just wanted to say.
