❗️ Life hacks for persuasion
1️⃣ Say "and" instead of "but."
E.g., "You did a good job, and if you..."
instead of - "Yes, that's good, but you have to..."
Because "but" cancels out everything that was said before it.
2️⃣ Say "and" instead of "and yet."
For example, "I understand that you can't answer that quickly, so let's..."
instead of: "I understand that you can't answer right now, but it would still be better..."
Because "and yet" tells the other person that you are deeply indifferent to their wishes, expectations, or questions.
3️⃣ Forget the words "only" and "simply" forever or replace them with others.
E.g., "This is my opinion" "That's my idea"
instead of "I'm just stating my opinion" "It's just an idea."
