奧斯卡金像獎頒獎禮於今日舉行，不過直播中途發生插曲。諧星Chris Rock頒獎時，拎Will Smith老婆Jada Pinkett-Smith開玩笑，稱等睇對方拍1997年電影《G.I. Jane》（伴我雄心）續集，電影中女主角剃光頭參軍，暗示因受「鬼剃頭」困擾而剃光頭嘅Jada，可以接拍角色。
Will Smith同老婆Jada聽到後隨即黑面，Will Smith更立即走到台上掌摑Chris Rock，嚇呆全場觀眾，而Chris Rock則企喺台上露出尷尬笑容。Will Smith返回坐位後怒火未停，爆粗大鬧對方：”Keep my wife’s name out of your f---king mouth!”，對方則稱：”This was the greatest night in the history of television”
Will Smith隨後憑電影《King Richard》勇奪影帝。
