这周推荐the Carter Family, 和Jimmie Rodgers一道是乡村与民谣影响最大的初期音乐人。曾经介绍过(2020年最后两天推送), 由一男二女组成，A.P. Carter极具历史意义地采集整理美国民谣，妻子Sara主唱，Sara的表妹Maybelle的标志性两声部吉他弹法。最早录制了无数经典旋律，和声的张力则对Bluegrass影响很大。1927-1936年间的录音里能听到Sara的声音从高亢伤感逐渐厚重，和Maybelle的吉他的类似质感变化，前后都各有滋味，中间时期则恰好他/她们录制歌曲质量偏低。
