Fake Signs of Intelligence
A fake sign of intelligence is a behaviour or trait that is mistaken for or falsely presented as a sign of intelligence, but in reality, is not an indicator of intelligence. Some examples include:
1. Using big words or jargon without understanding their meaning, in order to appear knowledgeable or intelligent.
2. Pretending to know the answer to a question when you don’t.
3. Being able to memorize information quickly, but not being able to understand or apply it in a meaningful way.
4. Being arrogant or dismissive of others' opinions.
5. Being inflexible and unwilling to change one's mind when faced with new evidence.
6. Bragging about own’s intelligence all the time.
7. Derailing conversations with pointless intellectual questions.
8. Acting like you have everything figured out and hard to admit weaknesses.
