Problems with selection for JWCh in Chile
After selection, following were supposed to go to Bulgaria:
Matilde Trivique
Dominga Badilla
Leyla Zenteno
Isidora Gonzalez
Conjunto Club Sirio Unido
Matilde Merino and Mariana Pinedo reported that days after selection qualification rules was changed.
As in 2023, agreement had been reached with coaches that 4 individual gymnasts would compete. Club of one of qualified gymnasts claimed that since their gymnast obtained best scores on 3 apparatuses, she should compete at JWCh with 3 apparatuses and not 1 as had been announced.
Federation released video where they named gymnasts who go to JWCh and names of gymnasts competing in Bulgaria were changed, from 4 individual gymnasts to 2.
Parents also complain that they are ones who must finance travel of judges who are going to JWCh since federation will not finance them either.
