I'd say she probably deserves two or three years to come back to reality but the problem is that she's trying to be a public political operative and media figure, so she agrees to be attacked and made fun of by competing people in the same industry, so there's no real way for her to keep her job and be treated in the kind and understanding way her situation warrants. She should take a break from broadcasting for half a year or so to come back down to earth but the very nature of her illness prevents her from exiting her episode without too much pain and suffering
