Oshiya is the profession of the "Pusher" in Japanese transportation.
Because of the large population, the subway car is very crowded. Passengers get help in getting into a crowded car: a special Pusher Man (oshiya) carefully tampers down the crowds and makes sure that each passenger's belongings are not jammed in the doors.
