⏺ One cold night, a billionaire met a poor old man
He asked him:
"Aren't you cold outside without a coat?"
The old man replied:
"I don't have it, but I'm used to it.
Everything is fine".
The billionaire replied:
"Wait for me. I'll go into the house.
and I'll bring you your coat."
The poor man was so happy
and said:
"I will wait for you."
🔵 The billionaire entered his house, went about his business and forgot about the poor man . In the morning he remembered this poor old man and went to look for him, but found him dead from the cold .
But he left a note:
"When I didn't have warm clothes, I had the strength to fight the cold because I was used to it."
🔵 But when you promised to help me, I became attached to your promise, and it took away my strength of resistance."
📌 Moral: Don't promise anything if you can't keep your promise.
❕ It may mean nothing to you , but it may mean everything to someone else.
