Wildlife in Bhutan is one of the most diverse in the region, with over 770 species of birds, 19 of which are endemic. These include the golden eagle, mountain hawk, shrike, collared bush lark, mountain peacock, yellow-billed stork, Indian pied kingfisher, snow partridge, hoopoe, white stork, crow, jay, hoopoe, falcon and the peregrine falcon. Bhutan is also famous for its strange animals such as the takin antelope, brown bear, wildcat, clouded leopard, wolf, otter, yak and of course, the yak lokhang. 🐻
