Why do angels walk among us, while others dance with demons? Is it destiny's design, or the choices we dare to make? Why is it that sometimes, despite our desire to do something we know isn't right, we're held back by an inner force, while others do it with a smile?
Today, I was faced with a dilemma. I had something in my hands that could benefit me, but I couldn't bring myself to take it. Something held me back. Inside me, there are two conflicting voices: one urging me to pursue my desires, and the other urging restraint. You can probably guess who won. The voice of restraint was stronger. The feeling of guilt that followed is what they call conscience. It made me realize that there are two sides to every person, and one eventually takes control.
This led me to think that we aren't born as one singular entity; rather, we contain both good and evil within us, and our society influences which side prevails.
Some celebrate acts of cruelty, while others mourn silently for the victims. Isn't that strange? I believe society plays a significant role in motivating one aspect of our nature, whether good or evil.
In my opinion, we are born with both good and evil tendencies, but what if two children from the same household and society end up with different moral compasses? It becomes a matter of choice, complicating the issue further.
So, what do you think? Did we choose to be this way, or were we born like this?
