In the 1950s after World War Il the construction of a huge dam took place and the people living in the villages around had to leave everything behind. The only building left behind is the church tower that rests 22 meters deep underwater and has withstood the water’s decay.
The village Curon is now just a little bit higher elevated and a few hundred meters away and incredibly charming. ❄️
