Birillo was born in captivity at the largest water park in Massachusetts, where his trainer, Sun Fa Ra, was a highly skilled Buddhist yogi. Since Birillo was a baby dolphin, Sun Fa had been teaching him to draw the Buddhist sun symbol. Now, even though Sun Fa has passed away, Birillo continues to entertain the children at the water park with his adorable drawings of the sun symbol, representing hope for a bright and promising future.
