Preparations for Olympics began on October 7. Training was canceled for week, everyone tried to do something at home. But when they returned to gym, they were on they own and had little interaction. Daria couldn't concentrate, couldn't do exercises because her brother was at war. Ayelet understood her and would let her go home if she needed to see her parents or brother.
Situation got better as Daria got closer to Alona and Daniela. They made it through year together.
At European Championships 2024 Daria did not show her best. Before competition she had leg injury and something else with fracture. She's also had her training load reduced. Daria withdrew from apparatus finals due to her leg. But she's glad Daniela was able to show herself.
There was support from her surroundings, her parents, Ayelet, who didn't replace her after ECh. She is very grateful for that, for continuing to believe in her.
After that, she had a week at home again.
When Daria was having a hard time she would have liked to hear what Margarita Mamun went through because even in her movie she is silent. She watched that movie and it inspired her.
For ribbon she had different exercise, about relationships between people, it was something about war. At training camp in Hungary, Erika (Deutsch-Lazsanyi), FIG judge, said to change it because it was political.
The last weeks before Paris were very stressful. Week before flight was test training. It was the worst test in her life. She couldn't do anything. She was beginning to think she wasn't ready. But again, no one gave up on her. Few days before Paris, test was already good.
Daria was terribly nervous, couldn't stand on her feet, but enjoyed every moment of Olympics.
When she first entered arena, she realized it was huge. She had never been in such large hall before. Her legs were thinning, but she wasn't afraid. Main goal was to get into top 10. She reach it and then she told herself, she's already here and it's going to be a phenomenon in her life, don't think about podium. She wanted to be remembered.
