A distinguished man walked into a bank in New York and asked for a loan officer. He told him that he was leaving for the Philippines for two weeks and wanted to take out a loan of $5,000. The bank employee responded that the bank would need a form of security for the loan.
The man handed over the keys to a new Ferrari parked on the street in front of the bank. The inspector checked the numbers, checked everything and agreed to accept the car as collateral.
Officials laughed at the guy who kept a $250,000 Ferrari as collateral for a $5,000 loan.
The Ferrari was parked in the bank's underground garage. Two weeks later the guy came back and repaid the $5,000 plus interest, which totaled $15.41 .
The bank's loan officer said, “Sir, we were very happy about this deal, but we are a little puzzled. While you were away, we checked and discovered that you are a millionaire. What's the point in you worrying about a $5,000 loan?
The millionaire replied: “Where else in New York can I park my car for $15.41 for two weeks! "
