If you worship yourself you end up like jews mentally. Following God and willingly choosing to say that you're not perfect or capable of perfection without help from something above you (God) is the only way to avoid ending up like these morons. The only way to stop from you or your kids from ending up like these unfortunate morons is to willingly choose to admit your flaws and imperfections seek something superior to you.
