澳大利亚鹩莺科 (Maluridae) 细尾鹩莺属 (Malurus) 鸟类，体型娇小，擅长短程高速飞行，栖于澳大利亚东南部与塔斯马尼亚岛。
鹩莺高度适应于城市环境，在悉尼郊区、堪培拉、墨尔本、布里斯班市区均可见分布。
Fairywrens are tiny: only about 14cm in length, including a 6cm tail.
They can be found nesting in low trees and shrubs all over Tasmania and South East Australia.
Fairywrens live in small family groups. All the members help with raising the chicks.
They are fast flyers over short distances and use their bills to catch insects.
Only male fairywrens have their signature bright blue feathers. They check for danger by listening to the warning cries of other birds.
