🔸Although it is often called Simien fox or red fox, DNA phylogenetic analysis revealed that the Ethiopian wolf is more closely related to the grey wolf and the coyote.
🟠Although they primarily hunt alone, Ethiopian wolves are social animals, forming packs of up to to 13 individuals with one Alpha male & Female as a leader.Pack structure is hierarchical and well defined by dominant.
⏰The Ethiopian wolf is diurnal hunt at day time and sleeps in the open during night, alone or in groups.
🥩Their diet mostly consists of Rats& rabbits,in rare occasions this wolves will hunt in pack to hunt down larger species like antelopes.
⌛️Their life-expectancy in the wild is between 8-10 years.
