HERE IS HOW TO BECOME THE BEST AT YOUR JOB
Yes, to earn absolute freedom you have to own something, you have to have your own business and you have to be an entrepreneur BUT some have no gift of standing on their own, they become successful as MDs, CEO or as just an employee. In another sense some have to start under a boss to start their own, some get capital from becoming employees first. Some start their entrepreneurial journey alongside their 8-5 or 9-5 jobs, THEREFORE,
As we are starting the year some are striving to get a job, some to move from one post to another and some to be promoted
AND
here are some of the things you need to know to become a person of value at your craft:
1. To those starting, work extra hard even if you feel like you are underpaid. Deliver your best always. This is because:
a) you are mastering that skill for yourself. You will use it for life. You are not doing the best not only for the company but for yourself. When you move out of the company you go with your habit and skill.
b) you get to be noticed by those who pay when you deliver the best where you are underpaid.
2. Don't try to earn favours from your boss by unjust means.
3. What matters most is your attitude, character and conduct. Just know quality character will take you places.
4. Believe in yourself but don't become too over ambitious and too experimental
5. Don't try to change company's culture in your first few months or so
6. Don't try to earn favours from your boss(es) by being slanderous and backbiting other employees. You will be cooking a recipe for disaster.
7. Don't cheat or make unnecessary deals in the company or using company's name
8. Don't try sexual relationship with any of your bosses or workmates. Mostly it will end in tears.
9. Don't complain, criticize or condemn rather find a polite way to correct.
10. When you are corrected don't try to defend, listen and correct.
11. When you are wrong, admit it, say I'm sorry and move on.
12. When something good happens, always say THANK YOU!
13. When someone is talking, don't listen to respond rather listen to understand and respond appropriately.
14. When you are fired happily move on. Look for new avenues. Don't lose hope.
15. When you are not satisfied and you want to leave, leave in peace and harmony. You don't know what's for tomorrow.
