Lately it feels like the discourse on X is hurting more than helping. Feels like a very toxic combination of obvious influence campaigns and algorithm-driven reinforcement loops. The quality of the content has never been lower.
Maybe the problem was never a lack of free speech but a lack of open debate on campuses and competition in media. I don't think we are actually fixing what was wrong with society by psychically assaulting millions of undiscerning idiots into paranoid schizophrenia.
