In a hospital in Baku, a 17-year-old boy had an 18-centimeter long "tail" removed.
The doctor noted the 17-year-old boy went to the hospital with pain in the spino-pelvic region: "He had difficulty sitting up, getting dressed." He also mentioned that such facts are not uncommon, but stressed he was surprised why the parents had reached this age, as the child had a tail from birth, it just gradually grew.
The operation was performed under general anesthesia. During the preliminary examination, it was found that the tail was not connected to the spine.
