On April 20th, a rare hybrid solar eclipse will begin as an annular (Ring of Fire) in the Pacific Ocean and becomes a total when the narrow path reaches North West Cape peninsula and Barrow Island in Western Australia, East Timor, and Papua-Indonesia. Slides 4-5 shows a much larger area sees a partial eclipse (make sure to use an eclipse viewing glass or other safe methods): entire Australia, Indonesia, and most of Oceania island nations, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia, Taiwan. A bit of partial is visible from Hong Kong and southern shores of China and Japan, and northern New Zealand. source
