The default linux-cachyos kernel is now compiled with ThinLTO as default.
Clang built kernels are nowadays stable and work out of the box very well.
There has been a bunch of improvements seen, mainly in microbenchmarks like stress-ng context switches. Below you can find a Benchmark from Phoronix.
The linux-cachyos kernel will now replace the linux-cachyos-lto kernel, if this one is installed.
There is a linux-cachyos-gcc version now in the repository, for people which want to use the GCC compiled kernel. Please let us know, if you run into any issues.
