The trail (5,4 km) from Pico do Arieiro (1818 m) to Pico Ruivo (1862m) is the most famous hike on the Madeira island (round trip will be about 11 km). This parh connects the highest points of the island offering countless viewpoints of the colourful valley and rocks above the clouds. You go from peak to peak which is why it’s also commonly known as the “Pico to Pico” hike.
