This always annoys me. They never were good at lying they were just good at using vice and weakness of rich people to get control over chokepoints in information and ban anybody who was good at things. These people suck at everything besides buying up resources and then price gouging them, whether real estate, power, media companies, hotels, banks, etc. That's all they have ever been good at, and now that things are decentralized they can't corner markets as well anymore, which has caused them to begin to lose all their power. They can't compete in literally any industry, all they are is slave owners
