You will never know how much money you waste until you audit your spending. Carry out reverse budgeting. Go through your bank statements for the last six months. Calculate how much you spent on unnecessary expenses. The amount you wasted will shock you into using money well today. When you realise that the amount you spend having fun in clubs is more than what you spend on self-development, you must change. And what is really ‘fun’? Define your own idea of fun and stop spending time and money on activities that society thinks are fun but ultimately stress you out. You don’t have to go clubbing, attend parties, or drink and smoke. If sitting at home to read a book is your idea of fun, do it!
