It was all just a performative act for her. What the hell kind of church would let someone who's living a life like this and is clearly stuck in their ways ANYWHERE NEAR the baptismal font? The whole idea of baptism is the old you is drowned in the water and dies, and a new you comes up, infused with the Holy Spirit. I think I can safely say that no such thing happened here
