Sages and stones .
Two wise men went around the world to see how people live.
In one small town they met a crowd of people who were carrying huge stones , it was clear that they were in a very hard time , their hands were covered in blood calluses , sweat was rolling down their faces. The sages began to wonder what these people were doing.
One of them was asked:
- What are you doing?
He wiped the sweat from his forehead and replied:
- I'm humping !
They approached the second one and asked:
- What are you doing?
He rolled up his sleeves and said matter-of-factly:
- I earn money.
They asked the third:
- And what are you doing?
He looked up, smiled and said:
- I’m building a temple.
And then the sages understood one simple truth - the same activity can bring pain and suffering to one person, and bring joy to another.
MORAL: Always look for the greater meaning in what you do, consider any work as an intermediate step on the path to your success.
