Feminist icon Betty Friedan would have been 100 years old. She was the author of the trailblazing and controversial 1963 book "The Feminine Mystique", which explores the idea of women finding fulfillment outside of traditional gender roles. The book was credited with launching the second wave of feminism in the 1960's.
