The biggest lie you can ever tell yourself in a corporate environment is the falsehood that 'My boss likes me'. Stop cajoling yourself with that sweet lie. Your boss does not like you. Yes, he or she may be friendly with you, but that does not mean they like you. Do you know what your boss likes? They like your work. Period. Full stop. If you lose the ability to do the work that they like, you will be replaced faster than a Deputy Governor who quarrels with his boss!
