On this day, Palm Sunday, in the year 711 A.D., the jews opened the gates of Toledo, Spain, to the invading forces of Islam. The Moors burned the Basilica, killing hundreds of Visigoth Christians worshipping inside. Upon capture of the city, the capital of Visigoth Spain, the Muslim leadership turned administration of the city over to the jews. A reward for their treachery against their Christian hosts.
